About AMW

A Mom Without is written by a mom who lost custody of her children despite being a model mother. Life does not always follow molds and nothing is ever set in stone. Custody battles are never fair because you cannot split children physically in half. As a result, the decision of physical custody must be made based on facts, abilities and resources. Because of the American justice system is run on paid lawyers, many times custody is determined by which parent has the best lawyer (which usually coincides with the ability to spend the most money).

With courts beginning to favor fathers in court cases, many women are finding they are left with no leg to stand on in court. Because of the shift in court rulings, noncustodial mothers are left in a position that is not recognized favorably in society.  As a mother in this position, I hope to provide knowledge, encouragement and support to other mothers facing this new "life".

Comments, suggestions, questions and encouragement are always welcome. Because of the charged nature of the subject matter, remember to keep things anonymous, clean and inviting. Note: anything you say on social media websites can (and often does) come up in custody disputes.
